Studio Drop In

What's Included?

Use of table space, use of wheel (signup required - specify wheel and check in to make sure it is free), studio glazes, usage of basic tools.

Clay is priced at cost and varies based on the type of clay. Students may bring their own but it need to be approved before firing in the studio kiln. Check in to see what is available on-hand if you wish. 

Firing is limited to one glaze + one bisque firing of the contents of your cubby monthly (must fit in cubby). 

Who is Drop-In for?

Using the studio drop-in times for ceramics requires some previous experience in that realm. Either a 5+ week class/workshop with me or in another studio. Use of the studio for other media as well is welcomed and encouraged. 

The is no membership needed but if you have not visited the studio previously, please allow 10-15 minutes for a quick run down and intro. There is now designated studio time you can see here and sign up : https://calendly.com/hello-amandamarieceramics.

If you are looking for a time outside the listed hours feel free to reach out by email or text. 

~The Fine Print~

  1. Please reserve time to clean up you space. Fill up a bucket, grab a sponge and wipe down your surface. Give your zone a little mop and make sure all tools/bats/boards etc. are cleaned off. Wire any pieces off your bats to store them in your cubby on a board. 
  2. Please make sure to add your name and date to your cubby with a piece of tape. Any abandoned pieces will be reclaimed or put up for adoption. 
  3. Feel free to bring in your own clay but it will only be fired if it's approved and cone 6 clay. There is some clay for purchase at the studio. If you are storing your clay at the studio make sure it is labeled well. If you are not actively using drop in time (absence of 2 weeks or more) make sure to take your clay with you. Clutter piles up quickly so make sure to claim what is yours :-)
  4. If you are wanting wheel time, make sure to email/text to check in and make sure it is available.
